We believe one of the most meaningful ways to help someone is to create opportunity at a point when they cannot yet create it for themselves. For us, that means helping young people stay on a path toward education, independence, and a better future.
That belief is personal.
My wife attended Angeles City Science High School in the Philippines, and she still remembers a time when continuing her education was not something she could take for granted.
Her family’s financial situation made the future uncertain, but being able to remain in school, graduate, and eventually continue on to college helped create opportunities that shaped the course of her life.
That experience is a large part of why education has become such a meaningful area for us to support.
Today, we help sponsor students at AcSci whose circumstances might otherwise make it difficult for them to continue their education.
What draws us to this work is the timing of the impact. Young people have little control over the financial circumstances they are born into, yet those circumstances can influence the opportunities available to them for years to come.
We want to help at a point when a relatively small amount of support can preserve a much larger opportunity.
We value AcSci not only because of my wife’s connection to the school, but because of its academic standards and the care it takes in identifying students who are both committed to their education and genuinely in need of support.
Our hope is simple: help capable students stay on a path that gives them the chance to pursue higher education, build independence, and eventually create greater opportunity for themselves and their families.
